(More customer reviews)We bought our Fire Pit last summer to sit in front of our new waterfall on a Bradstone Patio. We noticed this year that it is chipping in several places. It also has several tiny rust type spots all over the top surface. The manufacturer will not honor any warranty(not sure they even have one--I am looking into that) and says it is our fault. We cover the pit on vacation, through winter and during storms. We use only plastic glasses in the area and have tables situated there so never use it as one. They are offering a repair kit to us but not to replace it. We are very dissatisfied and unhappy. We love the look of the pit but do not appreciate that the distributor will do nothing for us and that apparently we are not allowed to contact the manufacturer directly so says the distributor. I am trying to search the manufacturing Co. to do so with no luck so far. We have been told by the store we purchased it from that the manufacturer deals with a distributor because they do not want to ever deal with customers directly. Yup, I am getting why now--willing to take our money but not back the product up. We were told that the assumption is that most customers lie about usage and damaging products so therefore they will not believe anyone and that if the Fire Pit is not damaged when it comes out of the box than it is the customers fault. Our yard is a beautiful showcase with 4 outside room areas this being one. In other words we take care of our "stuff" and take pride in our yard. I would strongly advise against purchasing this product if you care how it will weather and how it will look. We will try the repair kit as we have no other option at this point. I have photos of the chipping if you are interested. I am not sure how to post those however.
