(More customer reviews)This firepit is solid and heavy. The Arizona Sands pattern matches our backyard hardscape in California perfectly. Assembly was easy with my two daughters ages 10 and 12. When completed, it looks beautiful on our deck. The pit cover is lined underneath with metal sheeting to withstand the heat and feels so solid, it requires an adult to lift that lid. The nice thing is once the lid is on, the handle at the center can be pushed down so you will have an entirely flat surface all the way around. It is perfect for homework, computer work in the backyard, tea, ... The fire bowl is made of thick cast iron, not stainless steel, which adds to quality of the product.
The kids like to sit on it but when the 160lbs of me sit on it, the legs kinda flex just a little bit.
Overall, it is an excellent product. Strongly recommend it. Most other fire pits do not have a hard cover but this one does, and a nice one at that. And that makes a huge difference in its usefulness.
